Riding out the recession

Meet Melissa. Ive been watching Melissa scheme, plot and ultimately execute a master plan so obvious that I didnt think it would actually happen, yet it did. Melissa sold off everything she owned, dumped her condo, stashed her car somewhere under a bridge or something and dragged her angry little beagle all the way to Thailand for 6 months so she could “teach English”. Im alarmed that she actually starts a job there on Monday. I thought this was a booze and pill fueled oddyssy into the unknown as a proper way to ride out the fiscal woes of the country cleverly disguised as a “job overseas”. Here she is pictured on the far right and clicking that little picture will take you to her photostream which as you would guess, is all Thailand, all the time. Going away

Her blog is here and you can catch her on twitter here.

  1. …I don’t do pills… but thanks for the shout out. Heh, ‘angry little beagle.’ And it may be for a lot longer than six months! At any rate it’ll be long enough for you to come visit me. You need some katoy in your life.

  2. Oh, LOL, even better. Today I met a software engineer from Seattle who moved here and started his own company six months ago. I literally recognized him in the street! I used to see him at indie rock shows and the farmers market. Gotta love Seattle… so now maybe I can “work” for him and get an employment visa for the next year. Wahoo!
