Ive decided to upload every hiking trip I took in 2008 to Flickr, in the form of sets for easy reference/navigation. It will take the rest of the week to get them all in, there are close to 2000+ photos in all, but they provide a good reference to anyone who wants to hike an area Ive been in, as I tend to be pretty trigger happy with the camera. For each set I upload I will simply tag the name of the Lake, Wilderness and a brief bio of the trip, the picture I select to represent the trip will be the link. This will go on all week, until I feel Flickr has been abused enough. I met alot of interesting people on the trail that year, and never once hiked with another soul for the duration of any hike. It was all solo, and all very rewarding for the moment in time in my life. What you see coming, if you choose to peruse the sets are absolutely stunning photograpghy taken with a small camera, and evidence of my theory on photos: one in ten turns out to be a gem. I hope you enjoy and even reference if you have plans of your own to take a trip to a place you recognize. For me, to experience this activity with such a vengeance for the first time was something I will never forget, I encountered bears, a handful of odd humans, blizzards, elk in rut, and in one case a virus……but most importantly I encountered myself.
