This is the Gold Creek Avalanche Set. This happened a few years back and is visible from miles away. If you look closely at the series you can see the sheer force of the avalanche as it sweeps down into the valley and up the opposing hillside. This closed access to Alaska Lake and as far as I know, remains to this day.
