Hipster Scum Indie band Las Robertas has infected me with ear herpes. Hailing from Costa Rica no less, the country where alot of people I know head to every Febuary to surf and drink. For the past consecutive 5 years I have said no to Costa Rica because I dont give two damns about surfing when there is snow to shred and AK-47 weilding guards in every bar or behind every isolated palm tree just doesnt sound like my idea of a good time. I hear the women are friendly there though, REALLY FRIENDLY.
I wonder if Las Robertas is friendly that way. Not that I care, hipster girls are…..well…..hipsters. The album, its important to note, was just re-released on Art Fag Records.
Parts of this album remind me alot of the early 90′s and that always makes me a happy camper. Listen along if you like. Im focused on #10 but alot of this stuff is catchy.

The bottom fell out of the Northwest regional forecast for the next couple of days, Im convinced that NOAA is lying off their scurvy asses  even now when they say tomorrows high temp @ 5k feet will be 35 with a low of 33.  Sounds like all hell has broken loose in this new slushed out world. There is nowhere to go but as of FRIDAY I secured a 3 week holiday wherein I jubilantly planned on chasing snow in 4 different states: Montana, Idaho, Washington and Alaska. What can anyone do with a warm weather vacation?! It makes no sense to me….The forecast is the same for any mountain I look at:  warm and wet.  I will keep everyone posted on where I am at over the course of the next few weeks, and what I am doing there…….

This is my earliest vacation to date, normally I leave @ the end of the first week of the New year to lock in those bitter cold temps….and big powder days. I hope this year I havent blown a premature load.
